Patient Testimonials:

  • "Dr. Wolke is amazing. She is very friendly and gives her full attention everytime I am seen by her. I never feel like I have been rushed through my office visit. The nursing staff and front desk staff were very helpfual aswell. I had a few questions regarding my copay and insurance and when the receptionist could not answer the question she immediately got help. Very nice to know that this office isnt like most offices that tell patients just what they want to hear. Highly recommended!"
  • "I've been going to Dr. Plotner for about 15 years for a complex problem. He is very patient, compassionate and knowledgable. I've recommended him to several others who have also been pleased."
  • "Dr. Axelrad specifically answered my questions. He researched and looked at previous reports form earlier procedures and addressed my questions. I received clear instructions on upcoming procedures. Most importantly, I left the office believing that I had received high quality, hands on attention to me, the patient, which is something that is rare in other offices."
  • "I had a wonderful experience at this office. I think that he is an excellent doctor and I would recommend him to family and friends. His office staff were very friendly and courteous. I only have to see Dr. Noguera as needed and I enjoy my visit everytime."
  • "Dr. Valle is the best doctor for complicated GI issues. He listens, asks questions and really takes time to figure everything out."
  • "I had a great experience. Office staff was very polite and helpful. I was seen on time. I have nothing but great things to say about Dr. Lakhani. He is very caring, and after seeing several other doctors, he was able to diagnose my condition. He scheduled my procedure in a timely manner and was very knowledgable. I will definitely refer my friends and family to him."
  • "Dr. Patel is one of the kindest knowledgable doctors I have ever been to! She goes above and beyond! I would recommend her to anyone looking for a good doctor."

As you know, the media coverage for Coronavirus is widespread, and with the news of confirmed cases in the Metro DC area, we at The Gastroenterology Group, PC would like to assure you that we are taking the necessary precautions to make sure our office remains a safe place for our patients and staff.

We are closely monitoring advisories and updates from CDC and local health officials. We have also put in place the following preventative measures:

  • We currently clean each room between patients, sanitizing any shared surfaces in the bathroom, reception area, and treatment rooms.
  • We are following CDC protocols for washing hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, before and after each patient.
  • Cover your nose and mouth with something disposable (like a tissue) when you cough or sneeze. Throw the tissue in the trash after you use it and immediately wash your hands.
  • As always, the most important thing is to take care of your health. If you feel ill, please stay home, get some rest, and recover.  We will waive all late cancellation fees.  All Gastroenterology Group staff are similarly instructed to stay home when feeling ill.
  • If you believe you or a close family member might have been exposed to the coronavirus, please call to reschedule your appointment for 2 to 3 weeks later.
  • For further information on prevention, please refer to CDC's website: https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/community/index.html

Thank you for respecting our measures and our imperative to minimize any risk of transmission with our patients and staff.

Sincerely ,
The Gastroenterology Group Wellness Team
